Gardening Classes at WBCH

According to Richmond community blog Oregon Hill, a variety of gardening classes are being taught at the William Byrd Community House this spring. All classes are reasonably priced and developed by John Wise, an experienced and knowledgeable Richmond gardener. Please view this post for more details, and don't hesitate to sign up. We have heard you can maintain a community gardening plot at the WBCH, and it is also the location of the well-known Byrd House Market -- what a great place to learn about growing your own food!

  1. Thank you so much for spreading the word about this great opportunity to take garden classes with John Wise and our other Richmond Gardening Gurus. We are all looking forward to May when the Byrd House Market officially starts the new season. However we have had Mark's bread, CCL and Faith Farm - eggs, poultry and meats available every Tuesday afternoon all winter. We will have an early BHM Renegade Market with more produce and flowers starting in April. So come check us out on any Tuesday from 3 'til??

  2. Thanks, Karen! I was able to make it out to the Byrd House Market last Tuesday and I have meant to post a "Winter Market Update," just to let readers know there are still vendors out there. I'm glad to see you reading our blog!
